An experimental warship, the Triglav was to be a prototype for the next generation of FPA flagships. It's three-pronged prow gave it unprecedented firepower, and it was rumored that it would replace the Hyperion as the new flagship of FPA admiral Yang Wenli.
Ultimately, command of the Triglav went to Dusty Attenborrough. The Triglav served as the flagship for the Iserlohn fleet, and fought in the Battle of Vermillion. After the "Peace of Bharat" treaty, the Triglav was surrendered to the Galactic Empire.
In real life, Triglav, with an elevation of 2,863.65 metres (9,395.2 ft), is the highest mountain in Slovenia and the highest peak of the Julian Alps. The name Triglav in Slovene means 'three-head'—that is, 'three peaks' and the mountain itself does appear 'three-headed' from a certain angle - a fact that could confirm that this is indeed where the show got the inspiration for the ship design.
