Among the largest warships in the Free Planets Alliance’ navy, these large battleships were slow and unwieldly, but provided FPA fleets with much-needed firepower. While FPA cannons were typically much smaller and less powerful than their Imperial counterparts, FPA Battleships more than made up for that weakness through sheer numbers. This also provided FPA battleships with a redundancy factor, that Imperial warships lacked - -they could maintain combat readiness in spite of multiple weapon failures. These battleships served primarily in command roles, directing the movements of the FPA’s fleets in battle against the Galactic Empire. Several variations of this ship class exists, such as the Achilles, Patroklos, Perun, Ku-Horin and the Leonidas. Some radically different variations also appear, like the Krishna, Shiva, Agateram and the Mauria. While some of the models, like the Leonidas, appear to be uniform, it is not certain whether all the other battleships sub-classes follow that trend or are one of a kind vessels.
